To process as much gorgeous Idaho fruit as we can in our facility, we need all “hands” on deck. Jamey has been our full-time cellar hand since 2014. He has a laid-back personality to balance out his strong work ethic. In his spare time, he likes going morel hunting and playing softball.
What do you do at Cinder?
I am a cellar hand that helps with the overall production of the wine from when the grapes are harvested until the finished product is bottled. Each varietal is like the child I never had.
What is your favorite part of working in the Idaho wine industry?
Scoring points with my significant other when I bring home beautiful Cinder wine!
What is your desert island wine?
Laissez Faire Red because it would pair with any food from shellfish to island insects and it could provide all the sustenance one would need if food is scarce.
If you had a different profession that required it (i.e. pirate, rapper, DJ, etc.), what would your “nom de plume” be?
What is your theme song?
“Up on Cripple Creek” by The Band
In a zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice?
A pulaski. Nothing like an axe for killing and an adze for digging.
What is the thing you love most about Boise?
The ability to step out my front door and hit the trail on my mountain bike or drive to Bogus to go skiing. I guess outdoor recreational opportunities.
